Hi-Def CINP Film Shows Off Our Local 'Treasure in the Sea'
On May 6th the Channel Islands National Park along with our very own Channel Islands Park Foundation held the premiere of the CINP's new Hi Definition film about the Channel Islands called 'Treasure in the Sea'
Narrated by Kevin Costner and produced by Aperture Films Inc, this new film gave a great insight into the Southern Californian Channel Islands both above an below the water.
Below Park superintendent Russel Galipeau introduces the film:

The event featured two showings of the film at the CINP visitor's center. Also present were the newest part of the Channel Islands Park Foundation (CIPF), the Friends of the Island Fox with their wealth of information on one of the Channel Islands most alluring inhabitants.

The CIPF also had an information able and were happy to announce the sale of a limited edition series of reprints of David Gallup's Oil Painting 'Rhythm of Life' which feature a beautiful underwater scene of Kelpforest and sealions at Anacapa island.
We at CIPF would like to thank all involved in giving us all such a valuable piece of art that will educate and inform for years to come as well as remind us what a real Treasure we have just offshore.
